Date of Equinoxes and Solstices from 2000 to 2999:
The times of
equinoxes and solstices in 2000 to 2999 are
computed, using the algorithm of Meeus,
Astronimical
Algorithms, by
my Seasons Applet in
Dynamical Time (TD) because the difference ∆T =
TD - UT can not be predicted for the distant
future.
In 2017 January ∆T is 68.6 s. The forecast of U.S. Naval Obsevatory extends until 2026, ∆T=73 s, with an error of 5 s.
According to Meeus the largest error for the years
1951 - 2050 is
51 s for March equinox, 39 s for
June solstice, 44 s for
September equinox, and 41 s for
December solstice.
With events near midnight the frequencies shown below may vary by ±1. |
